Slab granite or marble may be used in the bathroom anywhere from just a countertop to the whole room. You will notice in some of the photos how the seats, curbs, jambs, casings, shelves & shampoo boxes integrate nicely in the shower. These additional pieces can make a nice accent to your tile and co-ordinate with your countertop.
A trend (that was quite popular for a while) was to use antique furniture pieces for bathroom vanities. This of course usually requires the elimination of the top 1-2 drawers (due to sink depth and plumbing) depending on the type of sink used as well as the style of furniture piece used.
